Nothing makes me happier than watching my clients develop over time and seeing first hand the improvement I can bring to people’s lives – all with mindful movement. Listening and empathy is a big part of any session – helping you become better prepared for the challenges of everyday, modern life.
I'm no stranger to exercise. I have been passionate about fitness from a young age and teaching for 25 years. When an old back injury forced me to give up teaching aerobics, I retrained in Classical Pilates, however this actually aggravated my back. Luckily, I was recommended to try Modern Pilates. The training was excellent and helped me to understand how I had injured my back all those years ago. It was truly a lightbulb moment for me and made a significant improvement to my back condition. I was taught Modern Pilates by Physiotherapists and am fully qualified as a Modern Pilates teacher with additional qualifications in Hip, Spine and Knee rehabilitation as well as pre and post natal care and adapting exercises for older adults.
I have lived all my life in the Lancaster and Morecambe area and have a very close family of three sisters. I have two beautiful daughters, Yasmin and Natasha and a supportive husband called Paul to whom I have been married for 37 years. I worked at BT as a trainer and customer service advisor, leaving 8 years ago to teach Pilates full time. When I'm not teaching, you'll find me climbing a mountain, singing in a choir or cooking for family and friends.
I have clients of all ages, abilities and needs – from improving fitness, injury recovery, and those who simply enjoy the personal attention, confidence-building and support that flows naturally though all my sessions. I teach Pilates – but really, my service is based around well-being and helping you become a better, happier and healthier you – whatever that means personally. My classes are a safe, welcoming environment, based on mutual trust, understanding and friendship, where together we’ll work towards your personal goals and making a positive impact on your life.
