"Janet's classes have been life changing"
I have been attending Janet's class for about 5 years. I joined after a hip injury that left me with mobility issues and constant pain. What her help and classes have done for me have been life changing! I have avoided surgery and further medical intervention for my issue and my over all fitness has improved to the point where I have been able to increase my exercise to a higher level. Her classes are very friendly and relaxed and a much needed sanctuary in a busy working week. I could not recommend her enough!!
Janet Says: Jess had a lot of pain in her hip and was unable to perform many of the exercises initially. Due to pain and lack of use of her hip, her hip had weakened and her range of movement was very limited. We introduced exercises gently and gradually her hip has strengthened and her range of movement has improved and this has reduced her pain. Because of the improvements from Pilates she declined an operation and has gone from strength to strength and is now doing HIIT exercises! I have seen an unbelievable difference in Jess over the years. It has taken some time but its been worth it! Well done Jess.
"I now have the means to manage my symptoms of arthritis"
I came to Pilates 10 years ago in constant pain, stiff as a poker and weak, scared of the future, 4 years post slipped disc, when my body had rebelled against a lifetime of poor posture, inappropriate lifting and carrying and too much sitting. Pilates has been my ‘lifesaver’, in that I am now stronger, more supple and comfortable in body and mind, knowing that I have the means to manage my symptoms of arthritis through regular and appropriate exercise tailored by Janet to my needs, relaxation and with a lot of fun and new friendship made along the way. Thank you Janet from the bottom of my heart!
Janet Says: It's so wonderful to see how with help and guidance and individual attention the difference that Pilates can make to people’s lives and Sheila is a typical example. I have seen a big improvement in her strength, control, technique and range of movement. Sheila benefits from attending twice a week and has even encouraged her husband to join too! I've had a bad back for a long time and my Physio recommended Janet’s Pilates to me about 6 months ago. Pilates has made a real difference to me, my back is better than it has been for years since I joined a class. I’m now a great fan of Pilates and have never looked back!

"I feel amazing"
I came to Pilates with neck pain after an accident at work and was referred by my Doctor to Janet. I now have no stiffness in my neck and no pain and I feel amazing. I now go on Janet’s Pilates and mindfulness retreats each year and just wish they were longer!
Janet Says: It's great when Pilates can really make a difference and Alison comes to class for a well earned break from her busy work. Alison has always been positive about the benefits of Pilates and is brilliant at it.
"I'm not frightened to move anymore"
I have been coming to Pilates for 5 years. A friend encouraged me to join as I was finding life difficult at home. I was frightened to move because of the pain in my back and joints and exercise always made things worse. Janet listened and supported me and helped me to work at the right level and encouraged me to rest when needed. Very gradually I started to progress with Janet's support and expertise. The difference in my strength and confidence and reduction in pain is amazing. I move better and I'm not frightened anymore. Its my hour, my space and the relaxation and support has helped me to cope and get through a very difficult time in my life.
Janet Says: It's so lovely and rewarding to see someone grow in confidence in mind and body and to see the change both physically and mentally. She is a different person to the lady that walked into class all those years ago. I’m so pleased that I could help and I love it when I see you doing moves that you wouldn't have done in the past.
